Myself

Hi, im John, growing up I always liked to build and experiment with multiple things. That path has led me here to becoming an UI/UX designer. My style comes from the many experiences, interests and jobs in my life that I can mix and match to create unique designs. From playing video games, watching basketball and football, to building my own PC, and working as an autonomous safety driver, my designs come from any and everywhere. I also live in the Bay Area where the people and places are a great source of inspiration.

Web Development

My main focus is web developement and working on front end projects with eventually adding some backend projects. Currently I code using Javascript, but will also add in some React projects as I get more comfortable.

Logo Design

During quarinteine I got an intrest in creating logos. Its more of less important part for me now but eventually I want to add this to my skill set also.

Raspberry Pi Projects (Coming Soon)

Ive been curious about the Raspberry Pi for a few years now and bought one a few months back. these will be mor passion projects that will take a while to build but something fun for me to try out. The 2 projects I have in mind now are an arcade table and a smart mirror.

Past and current jobs

  • Autonomous Car Safety Driver (Instructor) | San Francisco, CA

    - Operate an autonomous vehicle for 6-8 hours a day collecting data for the engineering, operations, and several other sub-teams.
    - Monitor Software systems with constant focus.
      - Provide concise written and oral feedback to the engineering and operations teams.
    - Complete daily reports and document procedures and tests.
    - Mapping new areas for mapping team.
    - Interact with the members of the public and educate them on self-driving technology.
    - Test and verify new software to be used for the rest of the fleet.
    - Communicating with engineers/developers on tests they create for specific changes, and reporting results

  • Door Dash | San Jose, CA

    - Picking up and delivering food from Restaurants to customer’s home / work etc and at the same time providing excellent customer service to both the restaurant employees and customers.

  • Bank of America | Santa Clara, CA

    -Responsible for the processing of transactions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    -Identifying customer needs and referring financial products and services.
    -Building customer loyalty; establishing customer relationships through courtesy and friendliness, including addressing each customer by name.
